Empowering Quality Care at Home

The Home Care Association of Newfoundland & Labrador (HCANL) is the unified voice for licensed home support agency operators across our province. As a not-for-profit, member-based organization, we are dedicated to advancing the standards of home care and ensuring that every Newfoundlander and Labradorian receives the high-quality support they deserve.

Our Impact by the Numbers

We represent a network of dedicated professionals committed to the well-being of our communities:

  • 95% of home care agencies province-wide.

  • 4,000+ skilled staff members.

  • 8,500+ residents supported daily.

What We Do

Through active committees and strategic advocacy, HCANL works hand-in-hand with government and partners to shape the future of healthcare. We guide policy, elevate service standards, and ensure that home care remains a sustainable, vital pillar of our health system.

Mission Statement

Our mission is twofold:

  1. Advocacy & Excellence: To maintain a united voice that preserves the educational and service standards required to deliver cost-effective, high-quality home health services.

  2. Member Support: To empower our members with timely, factual information and comprehensive management tools. We foster a collaborative environment where the collective talent of our volunteers and staff drives innovation and excellence in the industry.
